Want to volunteer?

Want to volunteer in sub-Saharan Africa? Awesome! R.S.M.C Foundation and its Strategic Partners would love you to join us. Not a dentist? No worries. We have volunteer opportunities for dentists, people with no dental training, and in between! We can teach you all you need to know before deployment to the field. Our only prerequisite is a passion for helping others, a desire to connect with people from other cultures, and a desire for promoting oral care in underserved rural communities without access to dental professionals.

Trips typically cost around $2,500 per volunteer ($1,200 for flights, an $800 volunteer fee which covers all travel, accommodations, and meals within the country, and $500 for a 2-day safari excursion). If you’d like tips on how to fundraise for your trip, let us know on the form below and we’ll send you our best practices tips and tricks for raising the funds needed for you to join us!

If you are interested in joining us or would like more information, please fill out the application below and we will be in touch soon.

Are you a dental business?

Oral health care, education, and promotion for all ages and genders are needed but unavailable in most rural areas in sub-Saharan Africa. Providing basic oral health education in sub-Saharan African rural communities and schools through dental collaborations with business partners and funding mobile health clinics can reduce the risks of oral diseases.

R.S.M.C’s Foundation’s Strategic Partners and volunteer teams include general dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and other volunteers who travel to multiple sites to provide dental education, cleanings, emergency extractions, and oral hygiene supplies. Each year, R.S.M.C Foundation works with its Strategic Partners to determine the best way to support sustained improvements in oral hygiene in underserved sub-Saharan rural communities.

We would welcome your partnership to help achieve our mission of providing oral care to underserved rural communities in sub-Saharan Africa. Please fill out the contact form below, and a specialized representative will be in touch to discuss various partnership opportunities.
